In this class, we’ll explore the musicality of call and response patterns in jazz music and dancing. Learn how to listen for repeated riffs and hits in the music and how to play with jazz steps and shapes to emphasize these motifs and increase your connection with your partner and the music. This is an intermediate level class; participants should be comfortable social dancing and leading or following a swing out.
